This section is to inform you of the Clinic's policy on infectious disease and cleanliness.
First and foremost, anyone experiencing any symptoms of illness should not come to the Clinic space. If you start feeling ill just before your massage and can't cancel online, do not come to the Clinic to inform me. Email or text that you are ill and unable to make your appointment.
For further protection and cleansing of the airspace I can have a fan containing a HEPA filter and a PCO (Photo catalytic oxidation) running during your treatment. Please specify if you wish this.
Regarding vaccinations the CMTBC says the following: "Under the revised Interim Guidelines...nobody is obliged to provide proof of vaccination for the purpose of receiving massage therapy...Remember that vaccination status is private, personal information. RMTs are not required to disclose their status, nor are patients." Therefore I will not be asking for your vaccination status nor will I be sharing mine.
Please arrive exactly at your appointed time and leave promptly at the conclusion of the treatment. Please come with clean, washed hands and bring your own water if desired.
It is important to understand that due to the nature of massage therapy, social distancing cannot be maintained and you will always be exposed to some risk during your massage.
I personally do not feel the need to wear a mask and will not be using one as a matter of habit. Should you feel more comfortable wearing a mask during your treatment feel free to do so.
The Clinic is located in a building shared by several businesses. Common spaces include the main entry as well as the bathrooms, all of which see higher traffic as a result. For this reason you may wish to use your own bathroom before coming for a treatment.
Within the Clinic the massage table and frequent contact surfaces are disinfected between every client. The disinfecting agent has thymol as the active ingredient which is non-toxic while still having a Drug Identification Number. Massage table and face rest coverings are changed between each client and laundered daily.
In summation please:
1) Cancel your appointment if you have any symptoms of illness
2) Come to the Clinic exactly at the scheduled time
3) Come with clean, washed hands
4) Bring your own mask if desired
5) Bring a water bottle if desired
